We’ve put together answers to the most common questions about traveling to and celebrating with us in Mexico. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out!

Travel & Documents

- Do I need a passport to attend the wedding?

- A passport is recommended.

- How long is the drive to the resort?

- From Phoenix, the drive is about 4 hours total, with only 60 minutes of driving in Mexico.

- Is the drive safe?

- Yes! This route is safe and well-traveled year-round by both visitors and locals.

Transportation

- How do I get from Phoenix to the resort?
- You can:

1) Drive your own car

2) Rent a car (with Mexico insurance)

3) Ride in a group van (if available)

4) Travel in a car group caravan with a coordinator

- Will there be group transportation?
- Yes! Car groups will leave Phoenix on Thursday morning, and we may also have transport vans depending on interest.

- When should I arrive in Phoenix if I want to travel with the group?
- Plan to arrive at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.

- Car groups will depart Thursday morning.

- When will the group leave Mexico after the wedding?
- For guests returning Sunday, a group will leave the resort at 9:00 AM. Expect to arrive in Phoenix by about 2:00 PM.

-We recommend booking flights anytime after 5:00 PM from Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX).

Lodging

- Where should I stay in Phoenix before we leave for Mexico?

- We’ll provide recommended hotels near Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport as we get closer to the wedding.

- Where should I stay in Mexico?

- Guests will receive a special booking code to reserve discounted rooms at the resort. (Details will be shared soon!)

- Can I stay longer than the wedding weekend?

- Absolutely! Many guests are planning to extend their stay, and you’re more than welcome to do the same. Just be sure to include the correct number of days when making your reservation.

- Can I stay offsite at a different hotel in Rocky Point?

- Yes, you may. However, all wedding guests must have a resort wristband to attend the wedding events and enjoy the amenities. If you’re staying offsite, please make sure to check in at Las Palomas no later than 10:00 AM on Saturday morning to pick up your wristband.

At the Wedding

- Can I bring my children?

- Yes, families are welcome to bring children and other family members to enjoy the resort and all activities.

- What is the dress code?

- Please refer to the “Dress Code” page for full details on wedding attire.

- What meals are included?

- The bride and groom are covering the following group meals for all guests:

-Thursday Sunset Cruise

-Saturday Reception Dinner

-Sunday Farewell Breakfast

Thursday Sunset Cruise

- What is the Thursday sunset cruise?

- On Thursday evening, we’ll kick off the celebration with a beautiful sunset cruise on the Sea of Cortez — which also serves as our official Welcome Dinner.

- Who can attend?

- All wedding guests are invited — children are welcome, too!

- What should I wear?

- Keep it beachy casual — something comfortable yet nice for an evening on the water. Sundresses, shorts, light tops, or casual button-downs are all perfect. Flat sandals or comfortable shoes are best for the boat. Bring along a light sweater or cover-up for when the sun goes down.

- Are food and drinks included?

- Yes! Fresh oysters and a full dinner will be served on board, along with drinks to enjoy as we watch the sun set.

Other Questions

- Do I need Mexican pesos?

- U.S. dollars are widely accepted in Rocky Point, though smaller purchases may be easier with pesos.

- Will my phone work in Mexico?

- Most carriers provide service in Mexico, but check your plan for international roaming or consider adding a short-term travel plan.

- What if I want to stay longer in Mexico?

- You are welcome to extend your stay at the resort or nearby — just update your reservation accordingly.
